Since my trip to France earlier this year, I’ve been touting the 2022 vintage to anyone that would listen. I’m grateful for your trust, as there were only a few reviews available at the time.
Burghound came out over the weekend with his assessment of the white wines from the Cote de Beaune - not only was there tremendous praise for the vintage, a number of the producers were singled out as making “great” wines.
If you’ve been reading my emails, it should not come as a surprise that the wines from Henri Boillot were reviewed as among the very best. Burghound laid some of the most lavish praise I’ve seen for this domaine in his description of the 2022 Clos Mouchere “an absolute knockout and clear candidate for the best premier cru of the vintage.”
When you think of the cost of other great white burgundy producers; Coche, Leflaive, Roulot, Ente, Ramonet etc, Boillot looks like a closeout in comparison. Top to bottom these wines are fantastic and come with my highest recommendation.
