Domaine Louis Michel
If you are a white Burgundy drinker, there is a lot to be excited about! Vintage 2022 has blessed us with the rare combination of outstanding ripeness, precision and freshness, a rare combo that many are having difficulty trying to explain. Everything I’ve tasted thus far has been nothing short of spectacular! It’s a vintage that will be compared to the best of the last 2 decades; think of your favorite vintages, 2010, 2014 and 2017.
As a huge fan of Domaine Louis Michel, there isn’t a vintage for which the stars have aligned more than the 2022 vintage. Keep in mind, one of the hallmarks of this domaine is the wines are only raised in stainless steel, with freshness and terroir expression being first and foremost.
There’s not a better scenario: the ripeness and maturity along with great natural acidity, combine that with the stainless steel aging and you have all the makings of pure, mineral driven, citrus infused, seashell qualities of premium Chablis deliciousness.
If I were a betting man, I’d guess most of you have already drunk those wines and didn’t buy enough when they were released. This is a vintage that I'm suggesting people buy as much as they can afford.
There isn’t a domaine more deserving of the hand they've been dealt on this vintage. Drink It - Cellar It - Sell It. No matter how you slice it, you won’t regret it!
